When we committed to building our 1967 Chevrolet C10, Sicario 67, selecting the right chassis was a critical decision. That choice led us to Roadster Shop, and ultimately to an official partnership to form the foundation of this build.
The Roadster Shop SPEC Series chassis is engineered from the ground up to deliver an aggressive 4.5–5 inch static ride height while maintaining proper suspension geometry and driveline alignment. Unlike modified factory frames, this chassis eliminates the need for cutting, C-notching, or stepping the original rails, removing common concerns related to frame integrity, alignment accuracy, and long-term reliability.
Designed to keep everything square under load, the SPEC chassis allows full suspension travel while accommodating up to a 29-inch-tall tire and true lay-frame capability. The result is a structurally rigid, performance-oriented platform that improves handling, ride quality, and serviceability—without compromising the classic C10 proportions.
This partnership with Roadster Shop ensures Sicario 67 is built on a modern, purpose-engineered foundation that matches the level of performance, precision, and execution expected from a top-tier restomod.
Roadster Shop is a premier American custom chassis and vehicle manufacturer based in Mundelein, Illinois. Roadster Shop SPEC Series chassis: a purpose-built, bolt-in platform delivering a 4.5–5″ ride height, correct suspension geometry, and true lay-frame capability with up to a 29″ tire—no cutting or C-notching required.
